Medicare Advantage

Medicare advantage plans are offered by private insurance companies and can be referred to as Part "C" or "MA Plans".  It combines Part A (hospital) and Part B (doctor), provides additional benefits, and most MA plans cover prescription drugs.

Medicare Supplement

Medicare supplement plans cover some of the costs that are not covered by Original Medicare Parts A and B.

Prescription Drug Plans

PDP's help pay for medications prescribed by a doctor or other health care professional.  The annual election period for Part D is October 15 to December 7th with the plans beginning January 1st of the following year.  When picking a plan beneficiaries should consider expected premiums and cost sharing, formulary, and network pharmacies.  After providing Melissa Plain with your current list of medication, she can help determine what plan to choose.
